Can't believe that College Gameday went to a 'commuter school!' It's turrible.

Don't worry though, Craig James should have enough pull to get Gameday to SMU one of these day. He got Mike Leech fired.

Congrats on your good athletics, but at the end of the day, I'd rather have a nationally ranked university.

Our school is nationally ranked. My program is nationally ranked. Not sure what you are trying to say...

Regardless, I admit that SMU has more attractive women (your representatives today at Gameday were below-par however).

Can't wait for our Big East rivalry...Hopefuly, SMU is competitive enough to call it a rivalry.

I'll give you that, it is next to the ghetto. But that is why we pay less tuition.

Btw, what is wrong with your quarterbacks? Critics often say that Houston quarterbacks are overrated because they play in a certain system. As my man CKS says, if you don't have a system then you don't have an offense.

Our school, girls, or rivalry?
The campus is very good looking (outside of it not so much). The girls are good looking as well (but it helps if you appreciate an international flavor). The rivalry? You are correct, that is ugly. SMU needs to work on recruiting.

SMU also needs to travel better. There were less than 5 SMU supporters at gameday today.

The supporters that were there were paid handsomely

htownponyfan wrote:UH is definitely a commuter school and will never be comparable to SMU. However, they have done some good things in athletics (basketball program has had some high profile recruits and beat Arkansas tonight). Makes me more depressed about our situation. With Kolb and Keenum having outstanding careers and lower academic standards, they will be able to build on their recent success. Why the hell can't we break the top 25 in FB or BB and why the hell is Doh still our coach?

UH "will never be comparable to SMU"....in what way? educate me? last time i checked, smu has lost 4 years in a row to "cougar high."

Next year Cougar High will be coming to Ford Stadium without their 10th yr QB and with a new FB coach. SMU will have a better QB than JJ McD. Cougar High will be fighting with Rice and Tulane to stay out of the CUSA-West basement.

From the crowd shots, it looks like your girls have been enjoying all the "international flavor" Golden Corral has to offer.

From the crowd shots, did you notice how many fans SMU brought? Far fewer than UH brings to Dallas, depite largely being a commuter school.

6000 students on campus now and 8000 by fall 2013.

Next year, the UH QB will be David Piland from SL Carroll. He beat SMU in Dallas last year.
