And yet TCU just seems to reload every year.....as they are about to have another double digit win season...which I believe is 9 out of the last 12 seasons.

We probably won't be top 3 in whatever conference we're playing in either............

I will never say accepting an inferior bowl against a 2nd place Sun Belt team so your players can go on vacation is right. And It won't happen and if it did happen no one would go

it sucks that there are 2 bowl games in dallas (this year) that have CUSA ties. but the players knew this going into the season.
sorry beasley, pull up your big girl panties and play the game whereever it is.

I understand for those who have been around SMU far longer than I have, and I can understand taking 7 wins. Its just for the young guys, when everything seemed so promising and noticing our team just stop playing. Stop caring, no emotion whatsoever. It was upsetting to watch a big loss to USM, Tulsa, Houston. Then also losing to a bad navy team. It was depressing. It was sad losing our QB to McDermott. I wish the season start off bad and then everything turned around. Its just the thought and believe going from 5-1 to 7-5... If it was hard fought every game, I could pass it by, but the giving up is what makes me sick.
2012, 2013... if we dont start with padron or gilbert... we are screwed. Our OOC schedule is going to destroy us. We are playing all Big 12 teams. Next year is AM, Tech, Baylor, TCU.... We better win 6 of our conference games lol (That didnt happen this year). The only good news we should have at least 1 really good fan attendance.

But how does a late start in 2008 lead to a downward trend in 2012. 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. Mitch is actually right here. That's not an acceptable excuse. Losing a lot of starters especially in the Lines might arguably be an excuse but the 2008 Class is largely irrelevant in 2012 and roster weaknesses should have been addressed long before the 2012 season. I think that statement was a "June moment" ie SMU costs $80,000 per semester. But have fun arguing an irrelevant point.
Maybe we could get rid of June and bring in Todd Dodge. I hear he may be available.

If you think this season is a good sign, you are a sunshiner and taking solace in the fact that 7 wins is better than when we were the worst team in college football. I guess given what we are paying June, given we have given him the resources he needs to win.....I would expect more than 7 wins against some of the worst division one teams out there (with the exception of TCU).
Baylor has a Heisman candidated and is ranked in the top 20
TCU won the Rose Bowl last year and finished ranked number 2 in the Country and is now in the Big 12
Houston is 12-0 and going to a BCS game.
We are better than Rice. I expect more. The BS of consider where we were 10 years ago is not accecptable given this is the end of year 4 of the June Jones era.

When did we lose to some of the worst teams in the country? We played four top 25 teams and beat one, lost 3. So, the loss to Navy ill give you. But I don't see where the other losses can be viewed as negatively as you seem to view them.

I said our wins are against some of the worst teams in division one. We were blown out and embarassed by a 6-6 Texas AM team, Tulsa, USM, Houston. Tulsa, USM, Houston, and AM are good teams, but we were not competitive to say the least in those game. And of those, only Houston is a top 25 team.

I took it to mean you thought we only played the worst teams in football. We got beat by very good teams all but once. And you're right, we got blown out. That means we are not great. And USM is top 25.
