I agree. Marinatto seems like a big buffoon. Seems not to have a frickin clue how to win friends and influence people. Everybody from current schools, to potential invitees, to other conferences, to schools that want to leave, to school presidents, to fans...are in a state of anxiety and aggravation. And he's over there hiding in his bathroom or something.

The whole Big East expansion thing has turned into a joke. There is no more excitement or buzz, and if it does come to fruition, which seems like a BIG IF at this point, I can't see it going off with anything bigger than a whimper. I think it would be better for SMU in the long run to join in the long run...I THINK...but I'm almost to the point where I don't give a [Gary Patterson] any more.

There is no more excitement is right. Such an afterthought now.

How so?....if it goes off as planned in the next week or so, is he still an idiot and do any of us really know the real internal details on this big complicated mutual-faceted negotiation? It appears to me that schools are trying to take advantage of the situation and make strong plays on their behalf and he is NOT going to get pushed around, which to me commands some respect.
