BTW- with an avatar of Cain I doubt if you are in much of a position to talk about things 'sexual'. Get real. This is our university you are talking about. He came here with a lot of promises. Some he delivered on and others he didn't. His actions in the last 24 hours have destroyed his credibility. He says he's staying and then he might not be. What is the truth?

Good thing you weren't at LSU in '07- you probably would have wanted Les out when he was rumored to Michigan before the SECCG.

But the grass is always greener on the other side, right? Ask Boston college

Jagz? That guy sucked anyway. He coached the UFL team here and got fired after one year. They replaced him with the CEO of Ameritrade.

He won 20 games in 2 years at Boston College. I think a lot of programs would take that anyday

Sure- what ever you say. I realize that some coaches have no loyalty to the universities they work for. Obviously, you feel the same about your employer. Honestly, I could not work for somebody that I did not respect and have some loyalty towards. Yep, in my business career I turned down offers for more money for a number of reasons. One of which was that I felt I had not completed the job that I went there to do. There are people with business ethics and those who are only looking for the next quick buck. Obviously, you and I are at the opposite ends of that spectrum.

Oh geez, I think I might throw up. The moral supremacy argument that has been thrown around here in the past few days is nauseating. Ya'll are all a bunch of saints, aren't you? Give me a break

Don't act like there's some ethical dilemma involved in taking a job that pays better. That's horse [deleted]. You must think almost every coach in CFB is unethical then, right? Maybe it's not even about the money for June- maybe he wants to be back on the West Coast, and in the Pac-12 against better competition. I don't like it personally, but those are all valid reasons if you're in his shoes. If you believe everything a college football coach says, well, you're fooling yourself. and that extends far beyond JJ. But keep the moral witch hunt up if it eases your pain in the women's room.

This guy has lost all trust.

redpony honestly....after all what BS?

It's called life in the big leagues.

The "BS" in my mind is all the hyped outrage
and June demonization by a few sour-grapes on
Pony Fans that either dont get it or have an ax to
grind because they dont like June Jones.

When you have success people wanna talk to your coach....
happens every season in college football.
plus it happens every single day in the workplace too
people get a better offer..a better deal...they change jobs...it's reality.

See Todd Graham who left Rice after one season of winning...it happens...its life.

You tell me what coach at SMU's level would slam the door in an Arizona State's face?

You tell me what coach with a freaking empty stadium, at non-BCS school
wouldnt at least respond to a BCS school in a major conference?

I think June Jones spoke with Maryland in the past while he was at SMU.
Where was the OUTRAGE over that?

If you have pretty girl....people are gonna look....the alternative is get
an ugly girl and nobody looks.

If JJ leaves and we have future success...that next SMU coach
is going to get offers too. You think Sumlin is not in discussions with a bunch
of people too? Sumlin is recruiting right now for Houston as well while he is in
dicsussions about jobs elsewhere....or ya think Sumlin is totally out of the loop
about his future and just keeps his focus on nothing but recruits for Houston?

As far as JJ saying he is staying....I honestly have not seen him say that...source?

But even if he did...its the same with most jobs..people tell a boss they are
staying & committed but if they get an incredible once in a lifetime offer how
many people in America turn down the bigger better deal?
does that make them "not trustworthy"?
not in my opinion....thats just the way the world works

coaches...especially proven winners...get job offers....Mike Cavan's don't

If June Jones leaves...I will not be happy, but will soon
just be glad June got us turned around and then get behind
the new coach that hopefully continues to keep SMU a winner
and reach the goal of being a regular Top 25 Team.
