I expect the coaching search to begin by the end of the week and for us to end up with the highest paid coach in the Big East.
Maybe the ASU alumi and supports refuse to "pony up" the two million for the buyout.
If Jones goes to ASU it may be a blessing in disguise for SMU. In order to compete successfully in the BE we need probably to have a more sound coach than we presently have. Going to the BE should make it easier to attract a good coach. The hiccup will be in recruiting which may set us back a little. I hope that Orsini still has Butch Davis' phone number. He could be just the ticket at SMU.

You know this is 2011 right?
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
I did not get any specific names, but I was told JJ would not be coming here and also they were looking at names that are not really talked about on this board. I might have to call him back after seeing the message above this about Jones calling his staff in. I know I am in the minority, but I think JJ is a good coach, however, after hearing about his relationship with a volleyball player at Hawaii I would stay away. While not illegal, it seems unethical. I guess a little props needs to given to JJ though for pullin in a younger lady at his age.

That's old news, and if an issue should havve been addressed prior to hiring here in the first place.
