I like Klemm, but where's all this coaching adulation come from?
Didn't our senior o-line under-perform this year?

Because you can't read quotes from a recruit that don't include something about how much they love klemm. Players all love klemm. Guy is working his tail off on the recruiting trail

The guy is just kidding, he went on to say that explicitly in a later tweet. It seems like a big part of recruiting, at least klemm's style of recruiting, is for the coach to sell himself along with the school. One way he seems to sell himself lately is to retweet all of the tweets from ASU and UCLA fans, west coach recruiting reporters and reporters covering those pac12 schools saying that they should all hire him. The more buzz there is about him, the more flattered those top west coast recruits will be that he is coming after them.
It is a little scary that so many people are talking about him for other jobs, but that high regard is part of why he recruits so successfully for us. Plus, every coach in the PAC 12 must know who he is already and every time he takes a recruit from over there they all must consider calling him.

Wuba, I hope that is the case. And maybe that is part of being where we are in the pecking order of things, but in my experience, coaches vehemently deny any and all job rumors at all times even if they are actually considering them. You don't want to a) have people know you were up for a job and didn't get it, or b) have others be able to use the fact you are looking to leave against you in recruiting.
I can see where having your name out and that you chose to stay could be used to your advantage with recruits, but I have rarely seen a coach operate that way. And with the events of the last week, I think everyone is justified in being a little jumpy when they see something like this....

How much of your experience was gained in the age of twitter?
He is not publicly considering job offers, at the times of these tweets neither school had a coach to offer him a job. Fans and Rivals/scout reporters are not authorized to make job offers.
He interviews for a PAC 12 job every time he speaks to a top recruit out there. The coaches there have to be freaked out by what he is doing here and more freaked out by the thought of what he could do on the staff of one of their conference rivals.
I have never sent a tweet but I signed up for twitter so I could follow people like him. Just do that and you will get a feel for what he is doing. And that is what I have, a feel, I could be wrong. However, when he says to relax and trust steve orsini, etc, I feel pretty good.

What did you think of him publicly contemplating other job offers?

You and I can talk over beers someday, I'm sure your a good dude.
My issues with jj never did and never will have anything to do with him interviewing.
Im breathing easier because I firmly believe my position is the very similar to those that are calling the shots and therefor I know they will do what's best for smu.

Everybody is understandably skeptical and on the edge, but we should give the guy a break. It was a comment made in jest. He's a great recruiter and coach, and I am glad he's staying.

Klemm has the OL job at UCLA if he wants it. Expect him to be gone soon.
