You've seen it time after time. Perhaps AK has stated something while joking or with no meaning at all - they take it as a serious hint. Maybe I'll be proved wrong, but AK is our coach and no one is taking him (but cross your fingers just in case).

That's the problem though....how in the world is she getting readers for ponystampede?...her job is to get new subscribers for SMU fans ( or retain the existing base) with information that you may not get anywhere else. They are like any other reporter in that they need to develop trust by their readership and she apparently isn't really doing that is she?

not to mention tweeting the crowd pic to the Big East media for no reason.

If she's a loyal t-sip that is the problem. I guarantee you a strong SMU is the last thing they want. They aren't as concerned with TCU or Baylor because they just don't have the potential SMU has. I think that's what Coach Klemm sees. SMU has the potential to go toe to toe with Texas and is the only college game in Dallas, TX. Now, in the BE we could really become a monster. Texas has done all they can do to keep us in a deep box. Well, the lid is off!!!

Social media is a total beatdown. I don't pay attention to it.

she should be trying to sell Scout rather than dogging SMU at every opportunity or pimping out our people. Yes, she is a UT fan but that doesn't have much to do with it - I could care less if she is a UT fan and tweet her heart out about that.

The Rivals spin machine is at work on there now. Headline - "Klemm on his way out?"

Coaches also say or tweet things to keep their recruits and keep their jobs in case they don't get the job they want. That's why I don't accept anything they say or tweet as gospel.

I did say I had my fingers crossed didn't I? However, I think Coach Klemm is being forthright. He has said things unneeded to be said if he was looking to another school. If he was just trying to pacify he could have said, "I'm happy at SMU." That's enough. But, he went much further. That being said, the schools most mentioned do not even have head coaches. So, in any case, I doubt anyone has actually contacted him in an official manner. Finally, it has to be rewarding to a young coach to be considered so important to the resurrection of SMU after 25 years of death. He sees these great quarterbacks committing to the program. He knows great receivers and o linemen and lbs and dbs etc. are interested. He knows all of this and he has to get a charge knowing that this job at SMU can make a name for him like no one else in football...the recruiter that took the only death penalty school and turned it into a powerhouse. As wild as that sounds, he knows this is a FACT. For a coach, that's got to be the ultimate!

Don't forget, his mentor is the master of deceit. I like Klemm, but he's not stupid. He'll say what he needs to say until he leaves. Believe me, he's leaving. He will not work for Sheldon. he's had enough of his BS. He wants to win, not fiddle-f around.

Gotcha, I guess it boils down to what kind of man do you think Coach Klemm is. I think he is special and talented and a straight shooter. Nonetheless, you validated part of my point. You would expect him to say what he has to say to keep his job. My friend, he has said much more then that. Among other things, he has indicated that he thinks we are "close" to doing something special. I think he sees what I see.

If you check my posts, I am a huge fan of Klemm. In fact, I even said Klemm should be considered for our job. However, I am on record for saying that Klemm is gone. I hope he stays, but I have an opinion. Your point is he speaks all truths. I say, he has been mentored and will say what he needs to say. Hide and watch. We can discuss further. He might stay for the bowl, but will be gone shortl thereafter. You have an opinion that he will stay. I hope you are right, but I doubt it.

Are they crossed because you are counting on good luck for Klemm to stay, or are they crossed because Jones is starting to rub off on you (story-telling)? :D I would love to keep Klemm here for a long time, however, I know he's had a couple of job offers already. Remember, athletic directors can offer jobs too.
