Have to remember that I'm as old as JJ and the young techie generation makes me crazy at times. I certainly don't like having to defend fools that insist on texting while driving...all because they have to know NOW!!!

Dude, Mr Printz has still not received a call since last Thursday. He has a right to be concerned with all the uncertainty going on. And Mr Printz nevrer said he wanted an immediate call back. Mr Printz is not high maintenance but did deserve a call back. After all it was not Saturday when he called. This is unacceptable regardless of what the JJ defenders say and I used to be one of them.

Unfortunately for the older coaches though, that is what they are getting paid to do.

If they can't send a recruit a message, especially to reassure them after there has been some turmoil in the program, then they are too old to be coaching.

You have to perform the job for the times you live in.

this story is almost too unbelievable to be true. i want Armen to get in touch with one of the coaches to verify that they actually ignored 200 phone calls from a blue chip recruit.

i am dumbfounded.

And this is why I like the Ponyfans staff and their unofficial view on reporting about recruiting. "We report on Mustangs."

I used to get all worked up about recruits and who is going where, but it doesn't phase me anymore.

I think it took two word to change my view: Richuel Massey. I'm sure he's a great human being (or I hope he is, I don't have anyway of knowing), but he never panned out.

In terms of QB we've got Kyle, maybe for two more years.
- we've got Kaiser
- and we have the dude that killed it in Cali

Oh, and might I add we have a guy coming in who has actually played in a National Championship game, GG... I should know, I saw him play that game. As Berman is wont to say, "I was 'dere!!"

(Just for kicks, if you want to question my commitment to SMU football... as in, "how dare I go to the Texas Alabma national championship game" ... that was two weeks after SMU played Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl, and even though the Rose Bowl was packed and Aloha Stadium wasn't... there was no comparison, I have never been so happy to be at a game than I was in Honolulu.)

Was it 200 calls in a weekend? He called every 10 minutes for two days (assuming the kid sleeps 8)? I have known some crazy [deleted], hell, I married one of them, but I couldn't imagine getting a call every 10 minutes for 2 days. Assuming it takes 30 seconds to ring, listen to the message, and leave a voice mail, he literally spent 5% of his weekend with his phone to his ear calling Jones. I mean, I toilet post and all, but wow.

After hour 2 of day 1, I would have answered just to tell him to [deleted] himself.

I'm not even mad. I'm impressed.

And not to mention the butt dial, shouldn't he have butt answered at least once?

Could QB Coach Morrison possibly be in Hawaii-I couldn't believe it but his name was mentioned as a candidate I think in an article by their Hawaii beat writer Tsai. Maybe Recruiting Coordinator Klemm is pretty much gone too-anyone seen him

It was 200 contacts (e-mail, FB, phone, etc.). We know how fast that garbage can start rolling. Hell, he could type using a pencil in his mouth and still crank them out faster.

still takes me a good thirty seconds to whip out posts. at least it blocks me if i try to post faster.

These call were starting last Thursday not Saturday. Ponyfans do not do recruiting because it used to be a conflict of interest. I think Steve would do a great job if he had the database. But this can't be ignored. Kids recommit all the time but he process in which this occurred can't be ignored. Returned commitments calls is what we pay htese guys to do unless they are trying to run someone off. Can't just blow this one off, someone or some people need to answer for this one.

So let's just jump on the kid's father as he could be reading this. I am sure the I don't care if we lose Printz or not crowd is really good for his Dad to see. Anyway this type of thing could set our program back years because we haven't got a QB that can really run JJ's system. But I guess some are just want us to be a middle of the road program anyway. The point is all this has been an efect of JJ actions over this ASU thing which JJ says did not effect our recruiting.

High maintenance my arse!!! Totally Effing unacceptable stonewalling by SMU coaches if this is really Printz' dad commenting. And if he was ignored, please, fire this Effing joker!! I said before to negotiate his resignation but this should pi$$ off the CofC to no end.
Plenty of good coaches to hire that would jump at the chance to shore up most of these recruits
For one of the best Universities around. We are better than this BS!
