Common sense and decency have taken major hits on this board in the last week.
June Jones and Company delivered us from the wilderness to three straight bowl games and people are whining over the reality that others will take run at a successful coach. Granted it's been a generation since we had a coach someone else wanted, still no reason for the teen drama of so many no life posters.
There is no basis for any thought of the program regressing and plenty of reason to think of how we will deal with Pitt and to consider how well our team is recovering from injuries that made us look like a different team.
As to decency, why not consider ending the anonymous posting and go with putting your name to it when you tee off?

mustangxc, Great post by you and I agree. All the negativity on this forum is getting boresome. Everyone has a right to his opinion but eventually one has to face facts, at least publicly. The ASU situation may not be as many of us had interpreted and therefore not as negative toward JJ as we imagined. The fact is that he is the HC for the forseeable future and I, for one, take him at his word and he is strongly committed to SMU. If he is not being truthful he has someone to answer to who is much more important than a bunch of SMU supporters. At this point, strong support and a rallying of SMU people is what is called for. As you said, negativism should be kept private between the dissenter and the AD or President.

You all defend the guy...how can someone be so negligent with the best 2013 qb recruit in the nation....

First off, I get rather bored listening to the same complaints, arguments, rumors, blabbering, etc. over and over again.

Second, I haven't been on here as much lately because I have some very important things going on that have diverted some of my previous "free time" that I spent on PF.

Third, never said I supported the way JJ has acted in this whole mess.

Fourth, I thoroughly disagree with making AK HC simply to keep a couple of recruits. Like I've mentioned several times, there are more proven options available.

Fifth, according to you Nick. It doesn't matter. And that's my whole point. If the whole football program hinges on AK. We are screwed. If JJ and staff simply don't care about anything but collecting a paycheck. We are screwed. Nothing matters. It's time to quit. If I was you I'd just say screw it and move on, because again with all your arguments and rants. It doesn't matter. We are screwed.

Sixth, and final. I completely understand and actually agree with you on most of what happened in the JJ, ASU fiasco. But you have let your personal feelings take over and say things that just are ridiculous. That's where I just decided to go ahead and go to a sarcastic extreme. We've been dealt our hand, stop [deleted] about it and play the hand that's dealt you. So unless you can come up with the cash or you can influence enough people behind the scenes to run JJ out of town, it's time to play the hand that was dealt. You've bitched and moaned quite enough. Therapy would be the next stop. And make sure you take SMT with you.

my employer made "emotional intelligence" required reading for all management

maybe Ponyfans should make it a requirement...but it sure would make things boring if we all got along all the time and respected someone's opinion that differs from your own

I have no life so I rely heavily on this board for entertainment (admission of a hopeless addict)

Sad this thread continues with the issues over Printz. Like it was mentioned, coaches are not able at this time to contact or return contact. GIVE IT A REST. The team should focus on the task at hand. BEAT pitt!

Go Ponies!
