Nashville is nice. Similar vibe to Austin.

Southwest has flights to SC now too.

I will second that one. Have lived in Dallas, Austin, Boston, Albany, NY, Okla City, Raleigh-Durham, Columbia, SC and Charleston and Chucktown is tough to beat

I've been to Walla Walla. It's so desolate even the dogs & cats are thumbing a ride out of town.

Move overseas for a while. Think about the educational experiences for your child. If I weren't such a [deleted], I would pack up and move somewhere like Amsterdam tomorrow. America will always be waiting for you when you're ready to come back.

I'd move overseas in a second, but it's hard to get employed overseas unless you work for an international company.
On a side note, if you need an SMU alum to work for your large international corporation overseas, let me know.

Charleston in the Kiawah Island area or north of Jacksonville in the Sea Island/jekyl island areas are your best bets. I would only recommend if the kids are gone and looking for an upscale area with plenty of golf, fishing, climate and close proximity to everything on the east coast.
