Mitch,

I'll give it to you that you are a loyal and true supporter of your B1G but any argument defended about the B1G is negated by the results produced on the field. At the end of the day the B1G travels and spends money but year in and year out they have losing bowl records. The B1G produces great and loyal fans, not good football. I have no sour grapes, I'm a happy man; SMU won, the Texas schools are undefeated in bowls, the BE did great, and the Big 12 went 6-1. Enjoy your Sugar Bowl, Little Cesar’s, and Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl victories you deserve it.

It's all good. SMU won and that's the best thing that happened in the Bowl Season.

Saturday was a proud day for us all.

I still am wearing the smile ear to ear.

BB#2 wrote:Why do you always bring up that [deleted] conference? The football gods have spoken and they've said to the B1G that speed not size is the future of college football. Every B1G teams gets there [deleted] handed to them when bowl season comes around. The only team that recruits speed is OSU and they sometimes win. The B1G will continue to lose if doesn't change. The worst part about the B1G is the delusional fans, you all live off of the winnings of the past, plus MN is a cellar dweller in the slow white guy league.

IF the BCS takes the cheese and the Big East implodes, and IF SMU were invited to the Big 10(or whatever it would be numerically challenged and called), I would hope that they continue to hold on to the 'big, slow, plodding' type of recruits...we are upgrading ours.

Like you I doubt this scenario ever happens...but I also didn't think we would get a sniff of the BCS in the near future either. Be ready regardless.

Plans?
Enjoy an even better season next year.
June Jones settles in and appreciates what he has.
Begin snagging big-time players.
Switch to royal blue jerseys.
Home games at Ford and (a couple) road trips to Big East games.

Short Term Goals:
1. 5,000 Fan Caravan Road Trip to Baylor
2. 12,000 Season Tickets (leveraging A&M and TCU and UH and Southern Miss and Tulsa Home Games for ticket paxckage)

Folks these are realistic goals with organization and planning. Its not anything other similiar private schools have not done long ago.

Hoping to remain a PonyFan if and only if SMU dumps the pathetic R & S offensive offense and that includes dumping you know who within the next two years!

We need to turn Houston into a real conference rival. We make fun of each other but fans on both sides rarely go to games in each others stadiums.

We are sending June to coach USC after this year unless you commit to continuing to be a ponyfan.
