so this class will be somewhere in this realm. We were top 50 before Klemm left.

Hard to fathom that June hasn't landed a freshman yet with any semblance of national hype. I guess Preston and Kaiser were known locally out of high school but good gracious, it's June-freaking Jones! I thought Printz was it but oh well. At least Gilbert gets it. 4000 passing +30 TDs every year = NFL $$$.

I think we will get some more good recruits...got one today. We lost lots over the last few weeks. That was because of AK. Obviously, its hard to make up those losses in a few weeks. However, besides good players (and I think some are under-ratted players) we are also getting a few really good transfers, etc. However, I feel confident the best way to get better recruits is build a name for yourself. Win, win, win. Be the team everyone wants to play for. Then, it doesn't really matter much which coach leaves and which coach stays. Nothing matters, only winning.

Let me also add, winning without cheating. I think we are all on board with that. So, how do we compete with the big schools that get away with cheating? We sell Dallas, SMU fans, SMU education, and opportunity to go to the NFL. As a matter of fact, I wonder if AK is the only reason some of the recruits went to west...

Scout has us at #68, which is better than 2010 and trending upward and still have a few weeks left.
Puts us at second behind UofH in CUSA (they are at #62 so not too far off there) and puts us at #5 in BE I think.
Looks like most recent (Lewis is not on there). Has Neroes as our top recruit (he seems to be a big SMU fan, so he's my new favorite recruit ... I haven't seen many talk about him on here ...TX guy ... only highlights I could find:

He committed and signed Saturday. I thought it was someone else new. If that is the case we got 3 good ones today in Holloway, Roundtree, and Dieter.

I am sure Stallion will be able to do the research on that before it is over and have the answer.

I'm just assuming that's who he is talking about. He is the most recent at least.

Yes, the JUCO. Call me prez of the Sunshine...HOWEVER, what I said I am positive I am right. You want better recruits and recruits that stay with your program no matter who is coach? The only way without cheating is WIN, WIN, WIN. The more you win, the more heads turn. Of course, putting butts in seats also helps. But, to do that you need to WIN, WIN, WIN!
