Congratulations to Sterling. Hard work pays off!

It would be nice if they do a story or two on him during all the build up to the Superbowl. Could really help SMU's image going forward!

When the receive made a good cut and the ball was there, he could have just quit on the play, but didn't. Great hustle and great determination on his part. Whether it was a catch or not, will be debated for decades, but the fact is that without his hustle, it would have been a TD for sure. Somebody better buy him a steak dinner in NE. Or Brady should at least offer him the role of wingman.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Great piece on Sterling in today's Boston Globe that I posted in another thread in this forum. Now if only the Dallas Morning News would do the same.

Clearly not a td, he didn't have both feet and control.

I thought it was a catch with both feet down. My question is whether or not the replay officials, who have control during the last 2 minutes, can overrule in that situation and/or can they only act and review if the official has called it a catch????

I believe you have to have control, just like when a receiver standing on the 30 gets the ball in both hands, but turns up field too soon and drops it. Even though it was in both hands, and both feet were down, it's incomplete and not a fumble because he didn't have control. He didn't make a "football move". I believe the same rules apply in the endzone.

According to Norm H. that rule was changed in the NFL and in the past that would have be a TD.

And who was the guy that knocked the ball out and sent the Patriots to the Super Bowl? According to Norm it was Sterling "freeking" Moore.

Kevin Sherrington had a whole column about Sterling Moore in the DMN today.
