Yes, it is our Superbowl i guess - very weak. We shouldnt celebrate that win like its our championship.

Agree.

We fans are the ones who put an enormous amount of stock in beating TCU. The game in Dallas in 2010 was the only decent turnout of the season other than the bowl game against Army, so why shouldn't the players and coaches believe that it is of highest importance?

Because June always says priority one is to win the conference, beating TCU does nothing to accomplish that goal so why should it be of highest importance?

All the people who give jones flack for disregarding tradition should at least give him credit for keeping our oldest rivalry alive.

Thank you for scheduling our oldest and only true rival, honoring a previous contract and keeping a 96 year old tradition alive...?

The rings are cool minus the skillet, like some have said before the Iron Skillet is our Super Bowl. We look amateurish and this gives them something to throw up in the locker room, not good

Good looking rings. I don't mind the Skillet on there. We should not make decisions based on whether or not we think it will upset TCU. They are a rival and I guarantee they don't worry about upsetting us.

As far as it being our superbowl, it feels that way simply because they are the best team that we play right now. Adding some better teams on our schedule will change that.

TCU will be our SB until we start winning more than 2 out of 10 against them. Win more and it won't be such a big deal.

I for one am all for the Froggies throwing up in their locker room. Heck, their uniforms tend to make me pretty damned nauseous.

Everyone complaining has done the due diligence and determined that no other team in the history of NCAA athletics has included the outcome of their rivalry game on their team rings, correct?

We are historic rivals. Up until recently we had the edge in the all-time series. Now that they are good they act like we have been their whipping boys forever. Get real. If a team wants to celebrate a victory over its rival let them. I have no problem with commemorating the Iron Skillet on the bowl rings, especially now that both teams are competitive. Their fans should either be upset or flattered. If they are upset, all the better as it is a rivalry after all.

Put it this way: 50 years from now, these players grandkids will get a look at the ring. They will then ask why there is a skillet on it....boom, a great story follows.
