My conversations with Coach Patterson confirm this. The Frogs will play at 11 Eastern Time in West Virginia, then board a plane and get to Austin in time for a game at 8 CST. Patterson said it would be hard, but he thought they could do it.
Shirley you jest.

But you're kidding yourself if you think TCU will not be good next season. They have the most important position in football locked down with Pachall at QB. IMO, he's as good at this point through his sophomore season as Dalton was. And we all know Patterson recruits athletes so I'm sure he will correct that iffy secondary. Regardless, the x factor is Pachall - he's the real deal. The result of landing a 4 star QB.

This is going to catch some heat but IMO Pachall is BLM, only with slightly better receivers. He's good but he doesn't scare me.

Pachall's soph numbers were basically equal to Dalton' senior numbers. No question Pachall out-performed Dalton if you look at their soph seasons alone.

TCU will be fine in the Big 12 which will be down next year. And when we are not playing them, I pull for TCU. I like to see similar schools do well against the large state schools.

Hmmm...Give me Pachall...
Pachall2,921 yards, 25 TDs and 6 INTs
BLM2,865 yards, 24 TDs and 23 INTs in 2008
1,725 yards, 12 TDs and 10INTs in 2009
Also, BLM rushed for -204 yards over 2 season while Pachall ran for +51 yards.

A WHOLE 51 YARDS!?! Meh. Again, he doesn't scare me. Glad you think you've got Dalton 2.0.

I can't believe I'm arguing for a TCU player but facts are facts. He was rated as a top 10 duel-threat QB in the country coming out of Brownwood. He was a 4-star with offers from Florida, Michigan, Nebraska and ND. If you watched any of their last several games, especially the Boise game, he had it figured out. To compare him to BLM is a joke.

Except forTCU, OU and UT the Big XII is KU, KSU, OSU, ISU, WVU and Baylor. I think we could probably compete in that conference and even have a winning record.

Yeah, I don't think so. Baylor is vastly improved even without Griffin. KSU and OSU were top 10 teams this year. Even with a "down year" each of these three teams would be better than any team in CUSA.
If TCU ended up 2nd in the B12 I'd be shocked but I can see them in the top 4.

I think he has similar arm strength/mechanics and really isn't more effective YPA. Yeah, he looked like a stud in 3A against Gatesville, Stephenville and Synder High...but I haven't seen any running results in the MWC that makes me think he's going to light the Big XII on fire. Again, I'm not saying he sucks, he just doesn't scare me at much as Dalton.
But then again, my non-scared impression may be clouded by this:

Never said we did. Said statistically he was better than Dalton as a sophomore. And I also never said he was a running threat...just showed the stats comparing pachall and blm.

In 2011, while BLM threw seven more interceptions than Pachall, he threw for 4009 yards with 33 touchdowns. For those counting at home, that's 1018 more yards and 8 more touchdowns. But, hey, what's a thousand yards among friends?

Even with my purple glasses on and your hate for TCU you all have to respect the numbers which are indicating that CP will have a better college career then Dalton. I think we can all agree that Dalton has won bigger games and Dalton was more polished but CP is on the path to break all of Daltons numbers and more than likely he'll win a BCS game. CP had a huge game at Boise and played well against Baylor and SMU but was slow to start. If and only if he would've started those games a little faster than we could've possibly been undefeated again, our defense was the reason for the loses but that's up to interruptation. Time will only tell if CP wins more and bigger games then Dalton but over at TCU we are very confident about the future of our QB and our program. Like one poster said before, a 4 star QB helps, good luck with Griffen and Go Frogs.

As a senior at Eastern Washington??? Yes he had a great season playing small school college football.
BLM had 160 more pass attempts than Pachall and Pachall had a higher completion percentage.
