Despite this improvement you speak of, we're still irrelevant.
If you don't think what has gone on in the last few years is a massive improvement, even more than almost any of us hoped, then it's hard to imagine what you're watching. Do we want more improvement? Of course. But you list 20 wins over teams we should have beaten. How many years would it take to list the previous 20 wins over teams we should have beaten?
And if you don't realize how far SMU has bent over to make it possible for June Jones to get the players on campus to win those games which they didn't do before June Jones got here then you don't really understand what is going on. Under the present academic model and financial athletic support, SMU shouldn't be losing games to most of these schools in CUSA.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

What I've been watching is mediocre recruiting and an inconsistent on-field product. You want to compare June to past coaches that were working blindfolded with their hands and feet bound then fine. I'm a lot more interested in comparing June to his contemporaries (most of whom are kicking his butt on the field and on the recruiting trail).
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
