UT will continue to always have better raw talent since recruits flock there. We should be proud of the fact we've started to produce players for the NFL given our differences in recruiting such talented players. I don't think the toads have ever made a case that they produce nfl players because their players have so much talent. Like us, they have developed these players which is a testament to them. But to only say that we had better results this year than they did was because we had more seniors is weak and unsubstantiated from the number of seniors that have been mentioned for both teams. Let's not compare the talent level for the horns to the toads, because they are clearly on different playing fields in that regard.

That's the thing. No one posted or even implied that SMU has better talent than Texas or TCU. Stallion just attacked an argument that hadn't been made.

Texas had 7 Senior Starters-Aaron Williams was an undegraduate 2nd round Pick in the 2011 Draft as a Junior. That's 50% of their starters that were picked. SMU had 4 picks out of 12 Senior Starters or 33% of its starters. 50% > 33%

Any opinion on who's better developing the raw talent, better able to get them NFL ready? Sure seems Jones and company excels at that.
One thing that blows my mind is that so much talent at UT is just wasted. Would E. Sanders, who's clearly talented enough for the next level, have even sniffed a start down in Austin?

Now you are using fuzzy math. If our 2008 class was so bad that only one senior started and he got drafted, using your method we would have had 100%. In Texas 2008 class they had 12 4 stars, 7 3 stars and 1 2 stars. When they were seniors only 7 were starters? I will let you do the research to see what happened to the rest.

Fascinating. The title of this thread is: "Mustangs having better draft than Horns or Toads"> I think that you alooking for the "A Comparitive Statistical Analysis of SMU, TCU and Texas Seniors as regards Draft: Past and Present" thread.

UT has moles on most Texas college boards who masquerade as fans of the local team but constantly remind their fans that UT is superior to any program in the Universe. Glad we don't have people like that on this one.
