Why is it that being drunk is a requirement?

Were you at the Tulane game last year?

No, but as a recovering alcoholic, as well as being over 35. I don't see being drunk as part of my future life's equation. Perhaps at some point of your life, after you have lost your wife, family, and employment due to constant drinking, you will know what I mean. Until then, have at it, just don't drink and drive. I may be the one you kill.

To increase rowdiness. That some are not capable of responsive and controlled consumption doesn't negate the benefits to the vast majority that can.

Don't mind the drinking, it's the idiots who become obnoxious, rude and crude when they drink.

one mans obnoxious is another mans entertained.

i do hate the expletive drunk - especially when there are kids around. Those guys always make themselves look stupid and the whole fan base suffers.

If one wants to go to a game and listen to those type of idiots, go to Lubbock on a Saturday.

Agreed.

While we all (at least I hope we all) want a filled Ford Stadium for every game, some want a UFC-type crowd while others want the kind found in church. The optimal crowd would seem to be somewhere between the two extremes, but that's just me.
