Remember that there will also be a CUSA logo on the right side of the chest, I believe, that has some blue in it.

I just don't like that there's no "SMU" ... love the pony but look at the logo on the upper left of this website. That's our logo. Should be on our jerseys.

I'm telling you..watch and see our helmets look like Ohio u but have the arched smu. That will be funny to watch the ensuing board meltdown.

Do we know for sure if the number outline is blue or black? It might be black to match the sleeves.

Maybe I'd like the uniforms better if Chris Parks and Margus were wearing them...

(This is to take nothing away from Neal and Chauncy, I think they will both do great things here. BUT they are freshman)

I agree. Keep in mind that those are two big dudes, though - Chauncey's 6'6" and Neal's 6'3" ... doesn't show in the picture, but those are the facts ...

Nike may have gotten some feedback indicating that SMU fans wanted plain looking uniforms and not anything up to date. If so, they did just that. smh.

I assume the helmets stayed the same color/design?

These are ok. Not terrible but certainly not amazing. The white looks better but those shoulder stripes on the red kill it for me. Are there blue ones as well?

Would like to see more pictures if anyone has them!

Big does not equal toned and in shape to show off a uniform.

Not impressed. There's no blue in them. They remind me of the New York Giants jerseys. Haven't we done this before? Someone put some mock-ups that looked really great. Nike should have just copied those. But if the players like them and SMU wins, it'll be a non-issue for me.

So I see blue around the numbers.

Hideous!

Can't we just go back to the 80's & call it quits? This is when I respect Texas, ND, USC & those schools that stick with tradition.

Any talk of a retro uni?

It is beyond frustrating to me that SMU seems to be blatantly ignoring its fan base for years when it comes to jerseys. If we could just do a more up to date version of the Pony Express jerseys everyone would be in love and we would sell a whole lot more. Call me crazy but it seems idiotic to ignore the input, especially when it is so overwhelming one sided, of the people that are going to be purchasing jerseys.

I think appealing to recruits is more important than appealing to fans, at least as far as SMU is concerned. It's not like there's 1,000 people in Blue #11 SMU jerseys on the Blvd. in the fall.
