SEC or PAC on the other hand.....
Texas and OU will move to home and home. Just watch.

We've never exactly dominated Texas - even when we had the best team we could buy.
We scored 120 points to UT's 64 from 1980 to 1985.
3 wins & 3 losses........hardly dominating - look at our record from 1967-79. We did win 6 in a row from 1935-40.
This conference is constructed for one reason, to give UT all the money. If you guys want to join a conference and be UT's [deleted] go ahead. I think the SEC is where we should aim and not the BEVO and the rest conference. Let's win the BE and hope that gets us the notice we need and perhaps the command to have UT not say, "oh well, we'll throw you a few crumbs from our table".
The Big 12 boot-lickers are stuck in the past. BE is good for us - and if we need to move up later there are other options.
Plus it doesnt matter what we think, they aint going to let us in - it makes no sense for them to do that. Would you vote to let Rice into the BE? NO - they add no extra market share. That is the exact same way the current Big 12 sees it. Would we be a more" value add" member then Baylor, K state or Tech - yes - but that is water under the bridge. We dont grow the Big 12 pie at all - so why should they give us a piece? Lets ultimately go somewhere where they add a market by adding us - and work on giving someone more of this market. Or better yet, help make BE value go up by kicking some tail in the non-conference games.

I'm guessing the BE loses it's AQ status soon. Then what?

Good guess, considering that all conferences lose their AQ status soon.
So what as for losing our AQ status. BigT3X is right that all conferences are losing theirs too. However, the BE is better than what we had & it gives us time to keep building. We were going nowhere & now we're at least going somewhere. And we know one thing for sure - it's upward!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

The Big XII will implode when (not if) Texas leaves. TCU's little game of running from us (ever since we joined C-USA) will come back to bite them. I will laugh.

The Cold Hearted Truth: The perception is that the Big East is already non-BCS-take a look at Recruiting Team Rankings on both Rivals and Scout. There is a very strong probability that the Big East could have ZERO teams ranked in the Top 40 Classes in America-whether you want to look at Total Points or Average Points Per Recruit. Top 45-we'll see. This is where this ridiculous argument completely comes apart at the seams-the Big East Football is not attractive to BCS level recruits-I can't think of an area in the Country where the Big East will be considered anything but a secondary option to BCS level recruits-East, West, North, South. That has long term consequences for the competitiveness of the conference.
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

The thought that SMU had anything to do with TCU's conference affiliation makes me laugh. If we didn't want to play you, we wouldn't..
