To all those people who think jj doesn't recruit better it's hard to recruit high end players away from top tiered schools when the past twenty five years have been horrible. I think jj's best year of recruiting was last year with all of the big lineman and Neil Beecham. If you think it's so easy then you try to erase the results of the death penalty.
One game is just one game. We need to learn from the mistakesand move on. I'll be at the game on Saturday night and every home game from here on out. We are just as good as every other team in our side of the conference now.

I still support June...have to see where we are at the end of the season.
We could still have a successful season.
Everybody had to know there was a very good chance we would be 1-3 after 4 games.
But I agree we really, really, stunk it up tonight.
Agree. We lost a game, so what. We lost to Navy at home last year. You expect '72 Dolphins this year?

Oh yeah last year's class was definitely our best what with all the defections and backfilling with 1-AA caliber recruits.

The '72 Dolphins played most of that season with their backup QB. Just sayin'...

Now we all know who doesn't work for a living or play any sport at a high level. Those who succeed live by plaing to win not playing not to lose.

Oh I kid ya.

We were not playing against high end recruits. Baylor has mostly been recruiting mid level bcs recruits.. If you look at our current class it has only one player with bcs offers. We should be getting more player with mid to low level bcs. If we do what we are doing we will end up the same. We have to go for more players with mid and low level bcs offers. I don't mind losing but not like this. Again, we will be okay in cusa but is that our goal going into the Big East?

I stand by Coach Jones even if the fascist fags hang 50 on us in 2 weeks.
Coach Jones has overcome much. Give the guy a break. Few on this board remember the PB years.

Ignorant post. Nobody is talking about out recruiting the Texas' of the world. We are getting blown away by teams like UCF.

If you're not "standing with June" please identify who should have and could have realistically been hired who would have done better?

The "june is great since he lead us out of the desert five yrs ago " group is getting smaller every week. I will always appreciate him for helping to make us sort of relevant again. I will always criticize him for under-recruiting, not preparing very well, not working all that hard in the off-season, being too stubborn, and that god awful June Jog of shame he makes his QB's do because he is too lazy to learn to signal in plays like very other coach in america. We give up any ability to audible or run a fast pace offense due to his stubbornness on that one issue - and if I were AD i would tell him to fix that or he is fired.

I'm confused. I kept hearing season-before-last that we were 1 1/2 recruiting classes away from a talented, deep team that would be competitive with not just C-USA, but against BCS level schools as well. To me, it meant we would have players that could hang well in the secondary vs Baylor in 2012, a QB and receivers that could light up an opposing defense with the fabled run-n-shoot offense, especially vs a defense that seemed to give up as many points per game as UTEP's defense did last year.
What part of that scenario did I mis-understand????

How soon everyone forgets. Just a few short years ago before JJ arrived, SMU was the laughing stock of college football.

that was a long time ago. We have kissed his butt enough. He gets paid 2.2 million a year - we deserve his loyalty and his hard work and we get neither.
