JJ does not beleive in hitting during practice. But the team does perform well in 7 on 7, and flag football games.

Do you mean for this season?
Go watch tape of TCU v WISC Rose Bowl game a couple years back.
I think you will agree TCU belongs in the big 12.

defense was actually not bad at all in the first half. Demoralized by the end of it (understandably) and probably gassed in second half, yes.

Gave up 307 yards in the first half. Shouldn't have been "gassed", time of possession SMU 39:55 BU 20:05. They did look timid and lost most of the time though.

Yes, but notice at least 100 of those yards came in the last two minutes (and 10 of their points) after the air was completely out of the balloon after the goalline interception. Ok, so we went toe to toe for 28 out of 60 mins before we caved in emotionally. it happens sometimes when the 'breaks' accumulate in one direction. Something small to build on instead of throwing all the players under the bus and throwing in the towel on the season.

Exact same thing happened last year at A&M. They scored twice really quick, defense stiffened and held for a while, and then finally caved and got shredded.

We had more fight this year on the two early drives, but other than that it was pretty similar. Not really sure why other than catching up to the speed of the game, holding on, and then starting to take chances because the offense isn't creating enough.
