KC has wheels. My guess is that he's not as proficient at blocking, which is a priority in this offense.

Perhaps by mid-season things click or this could be a really long year. Not having DJ in there probably hurts a lot for GG too.
New guys have to get used to each other. The OL, I suspect, won't really gel until mid-season, and I still think that's true. Hopefully they're healthy enough that we can roll some C-USA teams. I always thought we'd go 1-3 in non-conference games, and still do, but the OL is the key to this offense, just like every other offense. As the OL grows, so grows the offense.
which is why most of us are frustrated with this O, should be plug and play like most teams, too much timing and synching has to click..
A new OL always takes time to gel, regardless of the scheme or the coaching staff. It happens everywhere.
I think Lasecki has talent, but it is never going to go too wellwhen you have a RS Frosh Center. Keep in mind that our optimum offensive line this year was going to be Gott, Free, McJunk, Collins, Lowe. With Lowe not fit and Reich hurt, we were already down one projected starter and had to move things around, and with Gott, our best o-lineman, we were out two starters for this past game.
If we get Lowe and Reich fit, Rice gets some experience, and Lasecki gets a few games under his belt, I think this line gets some depth and might be decent by the time conference play starts. Unfortunately, we play TCU and A&M before then.

O Line has not been the problem with this team. In fact O Line has been playing pretty well pretty well IMO. Once the receivers get a little more consistent we will be fine and I believe we win the conference.

PLEASE PP, next time you interview JJ, PLEASE ask him about Lowe and Nlemchi. I'm also assuming Holloway is taking a redshirt year, yes? Haven't heard updates on any of these 3 very promising talents in the last few weeks. Everyone squacks about our poor recruiting (I agree for the most part, but we've got these 3 big time recruits and no one seems to know anything about their status).
