Gary Patterson's sweat towel girl got the night off.
Mrydel-I hope the A/C was not too costly. They always hit at the worst times.

Wish we would have seen more of Dieter. Perhaps in conference play JJ will put in the one WR who is physical enough to work for the ball and not drop it when it arrives.
Dieter will be seeing the end zone in El Paso - count on it.

Re: Silver Lining Awards
Stupid move to allow umbrellas...they should only be allowed on the top row of the stadium or where no one else is sitiing within 10 rows. People are so rude. Don't want to overreact against a topnotch nonconference schedule. TCU will be lucky to go .500 but they have been resilient in the past under Patterson to keep fighting every game all year. SMU has not shown that ability in the past. Need to get better playcalling. Why bring Jason Phillips from one of the top most respected offensive programs in the country and then treat him like Reinbolt II with no input on play calls and not even getting to say hi to Gilbert when he comes to the sidelines after every play?

Yes. Not sure why he did not play more when Holman dropped at least 3 passed and the same with DJ and at least 1 by DT.

Re: Silver Lining Awards
My last unfootball related silver lining is that my old air conditioner was just fine. The circuit breaker had gone bad and just need to be replaced. $152.40 and my house is good to go.

Mine is 23 years old. It has been living on borrowed time. New ones run about $200 right?

Yes,
Nolan was All-State QB and punter, walked on last year IU. Did Scout team all last year, but was one of about 20 plus kids that left the program, didn't like Coach Wilson. He was two years ahead of Gehrig, put him on map in HS when G was soph.
All three won City middle school Championships, Gehrig won three in row 6-7-8th grade. All were undefeated as 8th graders. Thurman is now top golfer, could graduate early like bros but wants to play golf in spring at State.

I take it their dad is a baseball fan given their first names. Sounds like a talented family.
