Even A-Rod was benched and he makes $30 million a year. a manager has to make hard decisions even if JJ in tight with GG family.

:? GG should of had at least 4 more Ints. In the first half if the Tulane DBs could catch. The false start on the goal line cost us a winning TD. Nice young man, but we are a poor team with GG starting. Friend of family or not, it is time for JJ to make a QB change at SMU. We have got to see what else we have in games. Otherwise, we will have a loosing season, which we may have anyway.

As long as Gilbert is healthy he'll be our starting QB. He likes to give his QBs a lot of rope no matter how bad they suck.

With the play calling I don't know if CP could do any better.

Yes he could.

How many crossing routes can you remember that he had time, a throwing lane, and loose coverage that GG puts the ball behind the WR? I thought that was one of the points of emphasis in this offense - to catch the balls with momentum so receivers could make yards after the catch.

On the 4th down play at the end of 2nd quarter, if GG just lays the ball out there for Line he goes for 20+ yards. Instead he puts it behind him at his ankles. Make that play and not only do we likely score before the end of the half, they don't get the ball on the 40 and kick a FG.

Did the play calling blow tonight? ABSOLUELY!!! But to take any blame off of GG is as much of an insult as JJs goal line play book.

For Docabel and the others, I truly truly want CP or any other person to step up and play. Why? So I can laugh when you run out of excuses. The WRs hopefully won't drop the ball like they were so good at doing games before this one

Well hopefully they won't drop the because it will thrown where they can make a catch that doesn't need to be some highlight catch of the day

Brown sending Gilbert to Jones was the biggest swindle since the Louisianna Purchase by Jefferson from Napoleon...Jones loses his team and Brown eliminates a public relations disaster.

As underwhelming as he was at times, he is improving every week and he did put together a few impressive drives to go ahead in the 4th quarter (with some good help from Zach)

gimme a freakin' break. it's all about points and td's. i could care less if some passes for 600 yards. score some points.

do you guys watch other College Football games? I see guys getting separation all day long- i rarely see that with these receivers. Jeremy Johnson made some nice catches and so did Darius Johnson but they were blanketed all day by Tulane DBs many of whom were freshmen. Rarely any yards after catch. I dunno-I just don't have much confidence in many of our receivers. As I've said from Day 1 I think Jeremy Johnson is quality but I'm disappointed even he can't seem to make big plays with YAC. Is there a team in the country with less YAC than these guys?

If it's our quarterbacks's problem, then our "quarterback guru" has failed us; if it's our receiver's problem then our newly hired "receiver guru" has failed us. Either way, our team is a disaster!

I'm not in the stadium watching from the stands but agree that from what I see on TV, our receivers rarely get separation. Is it poor route running? I know our guys aren't very physical. Is it as simple as that (getting manhandled?) Darius Joseph showed some toughness and good hands and should get more playing time as a possession receiver, but I also see Gilbert throwing behind guys or leading them too far way too often. This offense requires accuracy and I just haven't seen it from Gilbert...but to ask if he is the worst in D1 is taking it a bit too far.

I think you just nailed it. Golfing is FUN, recruiting is WORK. JJ prefers FUN over WORK.
