UH 24
SMU 6
Our defense is going to do well. Our offense is going to [Gary Patterson] the bed again. One of the UH TDs will come from a SMU turnover.
I want to believe again. I really do. After the Tulane game I realized what I have been seeing and what I wanted to see are 180 degrees apart.
What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. We do what we do... It is making the fans insane.

Was it real when you predicted a loss to UTEP?

Lol forgot to factor the defense. If utep didn't shoot itself in the foot, then I think you would be clapping to my sad yet perfect record in calling who SMU would lose and win to. Hey I predicted they would go 4-8 whereas I believe you said 7-5, am I correct?

Almost as important...
Sims 41 ypg receiving; 1 TD and 204 total yards
Line 24 ypg receiving: 0 TDs and 141 yards
So total yardage from scrimmage per game
Sims 170 ypg; 7 TDs
Line 125 ypg; 3 TDs
I know Line seemed like the dominant RB last year because he had 400 more yards rushing than Sims last year, but Sims had more than 400 yards receiving than Line last year. So Sims actually had more yards from scrimmage than Line did in 2011 to make it a close comparison. Line did have 4 more TDs last year though.
Line was injured and out of the last 2 or 3 games last year.
Sims was out 1 game last year and had less than 10 carries in 9 more games last year. He only had double digit carries in 4 games last year with a max of 14 carries. Line had double digit carries in 10 games with a minimum of 16 carries. Line had almost twice as many carries as Sims last year. Of course he had more total yards rushing.
Sims had a total of 161 touches last year (rushing and receiving) and averaged 8.7 yards per touch. He averaged a TD once every 12.4 touches. Line had 223 touches last year and averaged 6.1 yards per touch. He averaged a TD once every 13.1 touches. 62 less touches, but more total yards.
