Take a step backwards and fire the coach That's the mentality of the 25 year mess we've been in. Now that we've gotten our heads out of the water, and taken some breaths for 3 years, you want us to start over learning how to swim, and get our heads dunked again.

I don't even know what you are talking about. We are taking steps backwards under June. We need to get someone in here who will reverse that and start taking more steps forward.
Under your ideas, Baylor might actually have a good defense because Phil Bennett would still be coaching here.

The problem that you don't seem to see, for whatever reason, is that we're already taking steps backwards and it's going to get a whole lot worse going into an even better football conference next season.

Look at recruiting. Are you blind? June has peaked and is sliping back under.

Do you also neglect several key responsibilities of your job to the detriment of your organization? If yes, then you should be glad that you don't work for me.
I remember watching UCF play against Memphis and thinking "that's a pretty physical team" and worrying that they would push us around. I think the popular response was "we are physical, too". Yesterday showed us that we are NOT a very physical team, as if we hadn't already learned that against Baylor, A&M and TCU.
We should be worried about the possibility of losing out. It could happen. Hope I'm wrong because the only way to salvage this season is to win out and win the Hawaii Bowl (or whatever bowl we would get)
With UCF blitzing all night, why did it take us like 3 quarters to figure out that the screen might be effective. We ran it twice in the fourth quarter both times with great yardage. I also noticed that receivers weren't making good reads. On one pass Gilbert threw outside and the receiver turned inside to double coverage. By this point in the season, receivers ought to be making good reads. So, who's starting at QB next year? I say, let's let him play a half against USM, just to give him some experience.

If June's here Gilbert will be the starter, he's going to ride that kid until the wheels fall off.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Well, if they have not already they they have lost the lug nuts.
Gilbert is much better than he was at the start of the season. He got chased all over the place by a very fast UCF team that blitzed all night against an offensive line that appeared overmatched. It happens. But you're right: GG is JJ's guy. If I were the coach, he'd be my guy, too.
