SMU enrollment: 6,000
UCF enrollment: Everyone who bothered filling out an application and choosing to throw their careers away

so would you contend that SMU adds more or less value than temple and/or memphis, the other two poor additions to conference?
can we at least agree that football is primary driver of conference perception?
If we're strictly looking at football, SMU can be compared to Army, Florida, Lafayette, LSU, and Mississippi in terms of National Championships. Unfortunately this is a "what have you done for me lately" world, but I would still take any one of those teams over Temple or Memphis ....... and UCF for that matter.

Actually UCF's acceptance rate is only about 41% .......
...... 41% of the kids who didn't get into any other Florida school.
ZING!

Lol how does one stutter on the Internet? I guess ucf made a breakthrough on that one. Falsely? Care to show UCF magical dreams academic rep? I think if you take the time to meander your way to business school rankings? You will see SMU tier 1, ucf? Nonexistent

just returned from Orlando and the local sportswriter was brutal towards UCF in today's paper. A school with 6 times the student population of SMU couldn't fill their stadium for homecoming (they did muster more than twice the crowd SMU had for homecoming, but relative to the student population it was a worse showing than we consistently have). Just like we get compared to our former SWC mates, UCF and USF are the little sisters to Florida and FSU. I still think UCF has tons of potential, but has the same problem SMU does, i.e., not many students or alumni really support their athletic programs.

Which is funny to me, since Florida has had empty seats at every single game I've seen of theirs this season.

Something else that SMU will bring to the Big East Conference:
A football program that doesn't kill players.

It's a joke of a school. Like I said, they are the Florida version of UNT.

hahahha, is this kid serious? UCF.. what a joke of a school. 68,000 people. That's 10x our student population and hes trashing our attendance when they cant even fill their stadium with that size of enrollment. Please go back to your board with the rest of the junior college equivalents

You may need a sarcasm meter adjustment. XC probably doesn't really believe that, but is just addressing our UCF troll.
It is pretty funny that one Internet troll can tarnish our goodwill towards our future conference mates. I was going to wish them good luck. But he can f off.
Is that good enough Texan for you. Omni?

Hopefully, SMU will bring in a better football coach who gives a damned about SMU, and gives a damned about recruiting talented football players
