If this team goes 6-6, it means they went 5-3 in CUSA play. CUSA sends half it's teams to bowl games and at 5-3 they are in the upper echelon, so yes, they would deserve to go to a bowl

Just curious, did you say that last year when we played Pitt?

They were 6-6 entering the Compass Bowl.

I didn't recall too many complaints about them as an opponent.

As for me, I agree that 10 years from now, people will not remember we were a 6-6 team, what they will remember is we went to a bowl. So I vote for a bowl at 6-6.

With our schedule, 6-6 is pretty pathetic. We play a couple of the worst teams in the USA

A bowl game isn't like winning the nobel peace price. If you get to 6 wins, you deserve to go. Even bad teams, if they schedule cupcakes end up in a bowl. If you go to a bowl, you get to wave the school flag and scream - "we're average!"

it's a reward for the team for god's sake, you's think making a bowl game is the equivalent of declaring we are among the elite of the elite in college football by some of the comments on here.

We played couple of the worst teams in the nation and lost to one. In addition, a very modest offensive performance againt a Sunbelt team that committed 10 turnovers, imploded and allowed our defense to actually win the game.

Zach Line deserves to go out in a bowl game.

That logic is so flawed

I am a proponent of the rule being "over .500" for a bowl game. But that is not the rule, .500 is. That said, if we did not go at 6-6 then most likely some other 6-6 team would go and get the swag and the extra practice time. Why not get whatever you are able and hope that in the future we win enough to keep this issue out of the conversation.

Exactly! So much up side to be invited to a bowl game. People need to get past what ever [deleted] poor feelings they have about things. Think smart. Defeatist attitudes get this program absolutely no where.
