Over 400 yards total offense. No INTs. 27-44 passing. No loss fumbles. Dominated TOP. 5 of 6 in the Red Zone. Just 33 yards in penalties.
Our D held them to under 200 yards total offense.
This was total domination. If total domination is uninspiring then what the Hades is?
This was a strong team domination win.
And we will kill Rice if we play this 'uninspired' against them.

Besides a few good plays this game was an embarrassment for both programs. Even my family found it painful to watch as I imagine it was for any new fan. It's great that they won no doubt, it's just the way they won that doesn't fill me with hope for the next two games. What would have been inspiring? Having more vertical passes rather than the easily predictable (sad for USM) bubble screens or our one ZL running play. I'm glad GG was in the option runs. It would have been nice to see the defense not give up too many third downs and making sure they get good fundamental tackles. So there is alot I wish was an improvement. I also wish CP and other backup squads got more reps in.
You are absurd. We held them to 100 yards fewer than any game they have played this season, but you are still [deleted] about the defense. Vertical passing games are super effective when you are playing against or with a 20 mph wind.
We held them to a season low in points, and had the second biggest margin of victory as any other team this year (Nebraska won by 29). You expect better from someone from Plano? I expect more intelligence from an smu grad.
Jason, give up, man. We could have held them to zero yards. We could have had 700 yards passing. Line could have run for 300 yards. It doesn't matter.
Some people are just so [deleted] off in general that they will not have a single positive thing to day about this team until JJ is gone.
Ok JJ buttlovers (Jason and junior) wait till we play a team with a winning record heck maybe just a win. Please realize what team we just played a now 0-10 team. So yes when you play garbage like this, "style points" are the only indicators for our next game. Hey I'm glad we beat a high school team. No I'm super pumped about it. Sure the wind sucks but you adjust for it and when you throw a pass that our "top" WRs actually catch every pass. So yeah if I'm not super stoked about the game like y'all are, I really don't care because the next two games will expose the sloppiness of yesterday or we play to the level and above of our next opponents.

It's amazing that fans who got upset about losing games are now getting upset over convincing 28-point wins.
I'll take another uninspired 28-point win next week at Rice, thank you ... and another the following week against Tulsa. Then, just for giggles, give me another in the C-USA title game, and what the hell, bore me to death with another 28-point win in a bowl game.

Really?? Go Rice??? That is BS. No matter what one thinks of the coach, you pull for your team.

Congrats team on your win. Yes, a win is always a good thing, but considering who we were playing last night, what I found to be disconcerting was the number of three and outs we had. The third quarter was pure frustration. At times it looked like we were going out of our way to give USM a chance to get into the game. Lucky for us USM was not capable of doing that. Not sure we will be that lucky next time we play like that...our next two games are not USM type teams.
Another frustrating thing that keeps being repeated game after game is when we get in a short yardage third down situation, instead of just getting a first down to keep the drive going we go for a long pass down field and the majority of the time it is incomplete and we have to punt. That just drives me nuts.
Finish strong Mustangs, focus, and lets go bowling.

Do you still get to call yourself Mr Pony when you pull for our opposition?

So, one quarter in a 28 point win was a new low for this team? Gimme a break. You make it seem like we got dominated in one quarter somehow. Lighten up, Francis.
