Lot of people at a lot of schools that we shouldn't emulate. This kind of thread is one of them.

The irony of your "eat our young" comment is you are admonishing younger fans.

That's what I think too.

Waaaaaaaa! Don't bad-mouth our precious coach or football program!!!! Rah-rah-rah!!!!
If we ever DO get back to big-time, this stuff'll be chicken feed.

I only use the schools I mentioned as examples but this kind of thread is on every school message board. It does not make it wrong or right, it just goes with the territory. If a coach thinks he can use this against another school, there is another coach doing the same to him.

Fresh wrote:The "eat your young" mentality some "fans" here have is embarrassing. If you have complaints, fine -- contact Rick Hart's office. But to incessantly get on here and rant about our own coach, the guy who ruined our holidays by getting our team to those damn bowl games, is inexcusable. I agree there are things that can be changed and improved, but the endless whining on a fan message board (that is seen by recruits and will come up on internet searches by future coaches) makes us look like awful fans. It needs to stop.
Awful fans = wanting more out of a coach that's getting paid a ridiculous amount of money to half [deleted] a job he clearly is over?

The fact that we even have "fans" period is a miracle at this point.
