All the negativity on this board is driving recruits away. They read this board, you know, and instead of supporting the team, we're on here b*&^(ing and moaning about how bad the program is, how we're going to be in a conference with f&*&^ing Lamar of all people, etc.
Hope everyone is happy.

not only are you all driving recruits away, but you are making the team perform more poorly on the field by your lack of support with the june criticism on ponyfans! thanks for making us miss out on a bowl game this year, you jerks.

Maybe so but it is reality when talking about the vast majority of BCS recruits. Most of the guys getting college offers believe they can make it to the next level.

Considering we don't know the vast majority of big time recruits you can't accurately make the judgement call that they are idiots.

You know it seems like for years we see see excuse after excuse for performing like dogshit on the field. Why don''t they just go on the field and kick [deleted]? (like they should have done against Rice) Because Hawaii would be so much fun!????

JJ will just get a bunch of under the radar players to fill the open spots left by the decommits and proclaim this is the best recruiting class since the DP.

I believe 2 committed elsewhere and the other is not that interested in SMU.
Sanders committed elsewhere?

Oh, you are talking about Sanders and his 2 friends. I don't think they have offered any of them.

I guess some recruits want a chance to both A.) play right away, and B.) actually be part of a winning team.

I have no idea if they are any good or not, it just seems to me as if we are clearing room for the three of them.

SMU is not intentionally clearing room, they are decommitting and going to other schools. SMU coaches did not run off Brubaker or Paul. Nice try on the positive June Jones spin though as usual.

Just to clarify, I have zero insight that this is the case. Just saying that it seems interesting that we are 1 commit away from our max, 3 players come on campus expressing interest, and suddenly two players decommit and go elsewhere.
Only one of the three is a high profile player, the others are suspect targets, and an argument could be made that this another case of JJ preferring suggestions made by professional contacts over performing hands on player evaluation/recruiting. So I don't think this is necessarily a positive development, just stating it is a possibility.
Just in case there is someone out there who likes to over-exaggerate everything I say and tries to throw me under the bus at every turn...

I think it would be cool to have Prime's kid on the team just for the pub, and the fact that he'd be at our games. Especially if he's a package deal with a 4-star WR.

Or he will say relax we are just 1 1/2 classes away from being where we want to be.
