It would require Virginia having a place to land in the Big 10. Both schools benefit.GRGB wrote:hard to believe that Va gets screwed in this...Stallion wrote:SEC takes Virginia Tech and North Carolina St?
Careful there hoop fan- some rag sheets might consider you 'irrational'.Hoop Fan wrote:this is armegeddon. there is no tomorrow. If Turner and Ford don't pull a rabbit out of the hat, i hope you enjoyed D-1 football, and the hopes of moving up to a better league someday, i hope you enjoyed it very much.
I would think Clemson and Florida State to the SEC.Stallion wrote:SEC takes Virginia Tech and North Carolina St?
Neither of those programs would provide the SEC with a new market. The SEC can maximize revenue by going outside its existing footprint.SMU 86 wrote:I would think Clemson and Florida State to the SEC.Stallion wrote:SEC takes Virginia Tech and North Carolina St?
I suspect VT can leave for the SEC if UVa gets in the B10 lifeboat, or vice versa. McDonnell won't force them both to stay on the Titanic with Capt. I suspect if either Virginia school attempts to leave the ACC, the Va. Legislature is going to grab the doodads of the one leaving and say, "not so fast". I have heard nothing from Gov. McDonnell on this one, yet. He controls the Board of Visitors for both schools and he can force them to do his will.
If the Big Ten is expanding past 14, I'd have to think UVa gets a call. They're the perfect fit for the B10, moreso than GTEastStang wrote:But they won't let either leave unless the other has a lifeboat.
Yeah, that would force the SEC's hand. I guess B12 could go the direction of FSU, Clemson, Pitt, and Syracuse. I'm kind of surprised the B10 had little or no interest in Syracuse, seems like a better fit than Rutgers and has about the same draw in the NYC market, I'd imagineStallion wrote:Yes because Big 12 could still go FSU, Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina St and throw them into a Division with West Virginia. Big 12 could force SEC to move
Like losing your virginity in prison- let's just do it already and be done with it.PonyPlayer4 wrote:I hope the B1G goes to 16 now to force the other conferences to move. Let's start all the dominoes and get this thing over with!
