You still have to feel for the guy watching the game from home holding his woodwind.

I'm sure some of you can relate
:D

The mustang band does not have any woodwinds. It is basically a brass band. 8)

Ok. Polishing the brass

BTW, shouldn't they be making the freshmen yell "BEAT THE HELL OUT OF CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, FRESNO"?

I know they sure would have done that to us... :)

Speaking of places the full band doesn't go, why wasn't the full band at the Utah home basketball game?

BBall is half and half anyway. Sometimes 2/3rds.

Still don't understand this though. It used to always be full. Of course, back then we didn't play for the wymyn.

I imagine once SMU basketball is big time again it will go back to full band for men's games.

Hey, the women deserve some support, too! I've seen some pretty darn good women's NCAA Bball over the years.

I know they do split the band into 2 pep bands that rotate between men's and women's, but I think they also try to give some credit for those who step up for the holiday break games to even out performance time.

I enjoy playing with the Alumni band on holiday games.

Sorry, I didn't mean at the expense of the women! I imagine when they start playing BIG EAST some of the women's basketball will be awesome!

I was insinuating there would be more demand and desire to watch the men once we are back in the Top 25 consistently so they will have close to a full band at most games.

Absolutely! I remember how the women's team exploded at UT and I know the Ponies can do the same!

No offense taken. I suspect the full band would perform more if they could find more scholarship money, but I admit that I've only heard that the scholarships aren't much.
