Re: Tony Romo, the modern day Danny White
I'm sorry, I have to agree that you need to do a little more research if you think this season was Romo's fault.
- look up individual QB stats from this year (Romo is top 10 in almost all)
- compare the Defense starting 11 for the last game to the first game (about seven injuries)
- The offense spent six games without its main running back
- Several receivers have been on and off with major injuries.
I'm amazed they aren't 5-11 this season.

Don't worry, they'll both be watching the Super Bowl from home. Heck, maybe Jerry will share some of his popcorn with Wade.

It was Jimmy's team. Airman and many players have stated they won despite the bootlegger.gostangs wrote:Except for that thing....oh yeah, the super bowl thingy they won after firing jimmy.

Re: Tony Romo, the modern day Danny White
Romo was not the problem on this team this year. The Redskins game will do no favors to his public perception, and rightfully so, but the Cowboys wouldn't have even come close to competing for the NFC East in the last game of the year if not for Romo. That said, he made some really bad decisions last night.

But he always makes bad decisions when the game (or season) is on the line. So that makes it officially a trend - not just an event. He looks fine statistically - but you can count on him choking when it matters.
The Cowboys will never over-come his california punk factor. Time to trade him while he has any value at all and do something different.

Romo has been blamed for all Cowboy short comings for years, and undeservedly so. I agree with those asserting Aikman would have little success with the team Romo has been carrying for years.
Unfortunately, Romo STUNK IT UP last night, no defending that.
Really feel sorry for the guy, I do.
Danny White was a helluva Quarterback, reaally felt sorry for him too. Danny white is not remembered well by so called Cowboy fans, and that sucks. Hell, after the Catch, he hit Drew over the middle and Drew might have scored or at least gotten us a field goal try if not for a legal(at the time) horse collar.
Romo finally has earned his harshest opinions from his critics.

He was only born there. Blame WI if you think where he grew up influences his attitude today.gostangs wrote:The Cowboys will never over-come his california punk factor.

Cowboys has 3 main problems: 1. Offensive line maturing, but substandard to both run and pass blocking; 2. key defensive injuries that exposed their lack of depth and ability to shut down good teams; 3. injuries to running backs that made the offense one demensional. Bottom line is that they simply do not have the talent and depth to be an elite team coupled with very frequent questionable play calling.

The problem with the Cowboys is Jerry Jones. The game has passed him by. It passed him by no later than the mid-nineties. It's time for the Jones family to hand the team over to a new generation.
