I would hope having 12 in order to have a championship game would be a priority. We will have 10 in 2013 and 2014, but having a title game and another quality win may be the difference in determining which group of 5 team goes to the BCS access game. Certainly helped N. Illinois this year.
If 12 is preferred, then Tulsa comes in 2014 and Navy the following year.

Tulane president, Big East commish traded emails about long-term vision

CBS reports about the email exchange, where Aresco wrote. "Actually, the vision we presented at our league meting in November [just before Rutgers and Louisville left] is still valid. We are a challenger brand, we want to be the conference that challenges the so-called big five, we want to give our student-atheltes the opportunity to compete at the highest level, we are diverse and scrappy, we are a lot like NYC, we offer opportunity and we make our diversity work."

Like SMU, the new Big East will earn respect by taking it to the bigger programs and winning.
