Great East Conference

I don't see using East in the conference name at all. We only have 3 teams from the East: UConn, Temple and Navy. 5 in the South. 1 in the Midwest and 2 from the Southwest. Plus maybe Tulsa additionally from the Southwest.

The new Great East has seven Eastern Time (ET) Zone teams, along with the four CT universities, which is 2/3 of the country and the media center:

ET: UConn, Temple, Navy, ECU, USF, UCF and Cincinnati

CT: Memphis, Tulane, Houston and SMU

My point is the eastern orientation of the new League. We need to place our bet that our TBD conference is East Oriented by design. It gives us a bit of the legacy that was the past BE with growth in mid-America and SW. It is fine to Intentionally give recognition to the East, while establishing that the MWC and Great East have divided the aspiring teams, which are not in a power conferences at the moment.

Seeing that list of teams, it just gets harder and harder to be excited about our new conference.............

We could always call the conference A-SUC (cusa backwards).
