I read that post. There was nothing there about him not having heard about the press coverage, the post said he said it was not true. Those are two different things. It seems like your animosity towards turner/hart causes you to make unfounded accusations (turner being the only big east president with a personal connection to the Tulane president) and interpret things in the worst possible light for either of them at every opportunity. Your legitimate criticism would carry a lot more weight if it was not mixed in with unfounded accusations. My two cents.

I'll add my two cents in with yours. It gets tiring, this constant hate parade towards Turner.

Turner has only given lip service to our sports programs. He has been here 17 years and if it weren't for the CofC we would still be seeing 1or 2 win seasons. He has done only mediocre in other areas, i.e. our academic reputation/standing is lower than in the last couple of years. Our law school, once a standard for Texas law schools is now embarrassing. I will be glad to see him retire.
And the above comments are not hate as some would classify it but just a bit of objectivity.

Couldn't agree more... I like happen to like the guy and earned two degrees with his signature on it. Fact of the matter is, the Bush Library is probably one of his bigger achievements and that would have happened regardless of who was in charge. For being a wealthy university in the middle of Dallas, our profile hasn't strenghened as much as many had hoped. I am thankful for what he has done but I am also ready for someone else take the reins.

A&M didn't want to let our game go unless they could find another FBS opponent, because they already have an FCS patsy on the 2013 schedule.

As for Turner, he has raised tons of cash, built up the physical campus, was heavily involved in the effort to get in to the Big East, was one of the leaders (if not THE leader) of the effort to get the Dubbya Library on campus, OK'ed the creation of the Circle of Champions ... Yes, we all want to see more, but let's not dismiss his impact on the university as entirely negative.

Of course the Aggie fans are all livid that they have a FCS team on the schedule... :)
