there are plenty of SEC visitors who will tell you LSU/Baton Rouge is one of the LEAST welcoming places in the conference on game days. Visitors tend to have things poured on them from the upper deck. I've got several SC fan friends who say that is one place they will never go back to
I remember Ole Miss fans were very welcoming when we played there.
Let's hope SMU has/gains a reputation as being a welcoming host...but that doesn't mean we don't want to kick your arses on the field/court. I hope we learn to become gracious winners
Just realize there is a big difference in being the cupcake visitor and being the arch rival, enemy visitor. As long as we are considered an easy win then we will be treated nicely. I look forward to the day that all of our opponents are pouring drinks on us from the upper deck.

went to the a&m game when we played to years agp. I'm a dude and every dude was a f"ucking [deleted]. they poured beer on me and my friends and threw [deleted] at us. We did nothing at all. I kept saying "scoreboard guys. come one" the whole time. I was compelled to beat the [deleted] out of some of them, but then I was reminded that 85,000 vs 15 wouldn't work out well for me and my friends.
However, every chick I met in a bar that night was very friendly. Awesome girls. Pissed all the dudes off. hah
As a whole though, [deleted] the aggies. A bunch of [deleted]

Have you ever been on A$M's campus? I doubt it. My kid chose A&M over SMU mainly because it was out of town. I am as big an SMU homer as anyone on this board having graduated in 1976 and had a birds-eye seat when the Aggie corpsman pulled out his sword when our cheerleaders dared step on the playing field to perform their cheers in the early 80's when we were a national power in football. As a result, I had a preset opinion about the Aggie students until I went down for his freshman orientation. The Aggies also have orientation for the parents. I was amazed how friendly and courteous the faculty and students on campus were even though I was wearing an SMU hat. Several came up and greeted my wife and me with a "Howdy", which is their preferred greeting. I have yet to meet anyone that was not friendly. When we asked for directions, all were willing to help us find our way around that enormous campus. Now I can't say that for some of the other campuses in Texas especially Tech. Whitwiki, I would recommend dropping by the campus some time before making that statement!
I've been to campus a few times. After first impressions, aggies tend to get really annoying about, well, everything.
So, to summarize this thread: Aggie is going to add 20K seats to capitalize on their rocket ascendency to the top of the SEC; and they look upon SMU with pity but are mostly nice to us whenever we play.
