Good for them I guess. If it happens, it happens. I'll get fired up about it when or if it happens.
I'm too tired of all of the conference realignment duplicity and back handed deals to get worked up anymore. Especially since none of them seem to work in our favor.
I'm not sure on the real reason Orsini was shown the door, but my question has always been with all of the chaos going on in realignment was it a good idea to bring in someone new? Was the final piece they found candidates, e.g. Hart, whose skills and relationships are better suited to manage this?

I've often thought that was our best option for getting into a bigger conference. Either we'd buy our way in or agree to a vastly reduced TV dollar amount. I wonder if the NCAA would take issue with this sort of agreement.
The only way to jump the line when you are not someone's first or only choice.

So no actual confirmation just like 99.9 percent of all realignment talk.

The clerk at 7/11 told me he's been in talks regarding UH to the SEC.

I would not doubt is there have been talks. Heck, I talk to my neighbors all the time too. I do suspect several B12 Presidents would be open to more schools, BU, TCU, KU, ISU, KSU most likely. Until the Conference (Texas and OU) feels threatened don't look for them to add schools that would reduce their property values (TV revenue per school).
There are fans, like me, would feel safer with more teams in the B12 even if it meant a little less TV revenue per school. Publicly my AD and President don't "publicly" say they feel the same as I do. Regardless of what is discussed behind closed doors the Presidents and ADs are pretty much in locked step agreement that 10 teams with a round robin schedule in all sports with the current revenue stream is perfect.
All schools have contractually given the B12 their grant of rights for the next 10 years. That means if lets say Texas or OU left any television revenue they receive from their new conference has to be handed over to the B12. This has diminished the value of any B12 team in the eyes of any other conference.
By the way, it is rumored in Baylor circles that BU lobbied for either Houston or SMU over WVU.
Also for you SMU fans, construction of the new Baylor Stadium is on schedule. Look forward to you being the first oppoinent August 31, 2014.
You engineering students or lovers of time lapse photography can go to

Even if you are not interested in the Stadium and if you are studying architecture, civil engineering, and contracting it is very interesting.

SMU is schedule to play the Bears, Aggies, NTSU and Frogs in 2014. Hopefully JJ will feel ok and decide to keep the game.
