We're talking about making an NFL roster. Not exactly the most ridiculous benchmark. As of 2010, just out of CUSA alone, there were 6 QBs who made opening day rosters (from uab, Utep, southern miss, Houston, ecu, and marshall)
I do think this is a relevant stat. While June's job isn't necessarily to put players in the NFL (somewhat debatable), it does say something about the type of talent he has been able to attract and skill he has been able to develop. For a supposed qb guru, I don't think this is a favorable statistic.
And if padron stuck in the nfl after having transferred to ewu would you be posting on here giving June props? Somehow I think not.

Poor Kyle just has an overzealous meddlesome Dad that over-estimates his son's talent. Kyle seems like a good young man. I bet he will be successful in his post-football career.

I'm not saying Kyle not making the NFL is "on June". I think talent evaluation plays a much bigger role than talent development.

JJ's not a qb guru. He's an offensive guru. Huge difference.
Very thankful you presented at least some data, though just one season.

He's supposed to be both but at the moment he's neither (at least if the last five seasons are any indication).

If that's the standard, then JJ reached it when Colt Brennan was on the Redskins (backup in '08 and IR in '09).

He never made the active roster, furthest he got was the practice squad.

He was a draft pick so to be on the practice squad he would have had to been cut first, but they didn't release him until 2010.

He was placed on "injured reserve" on 9/4/09 for the whole season and cut on August 2, 2010. He signed with the Raiders on 8/7/10 but was cut a month later.
