I've said many times, I trust in Mason also. If it's a particular player he starts that we may not get, or if he says we have depth at a position{s}, or don't worry about the DL ... if Mason is good with it, so am I.


Those are 4-3 DE's not 3-4 DE's. Not the same animal. If you have 250 pound DE's in a 4-3 you can get away with it but if you have 250 pound DE's in a 3-4 and your might get the ball ran down you throat.

McCleneghan is 6-6 260 on the roster, but the roster hasn't been updated because it shows Wood at 258 and he is at least 270 right now. Those linemen generally put on a good 10 pounds from year to year.

I think we ought to give the guys on the DL a few games before we say they are "practice squad types". McCleneghan is walk on also I believe (and I agree that does not matter). If Mason thinks they can play they should be able to do their job. At least we have more players in rotation this year than in year's past. I know Barnes has worked hard to rehab shoulder and is about 260lbs now.
