I'm really glad SMU is looking at this.

Johnny Paycheck is currently being investigated by the Evil Empire. This means the NCAA needs to punish someone at a small school in order to distract everybody from the illegal money flowing around paycheck. I am choosing to believe the school is doing this to protect our guys.

I agree it seems very silly to investigate this but let's remember it is the school doing the investigation, not the NCAA. We have been stung before and no reason to have it happen again. This is just our way showing the NCAA that we are on top of every little thing that could possibly be considered an infraction no matter how silly it may seem. This is due diligence and institutional control at its best.

With this being done, the NCAA should feel more comfortable about not coming after us when something of bigger proportion happens, such as one on the top basketball recruits in the nation choosing SMU over Kentucky.

Well, I'm not surprised. I knew that bringing in Deion Jr. would mean a heightened state of something.

Can we get the a&m chancellor to come out in his defense?
