It's being painted on tomorrow. There are portions of the field that are painted on for every game - the logo is one of those things. We'll post photos on our social network.

The old CUSA logo was permanent, correct? So I guess maybe we hope to be moving elsewhere, lol.SMU SID wrote:It's being painted on tomorrow. There are portions of the field that are painted on for every game - the logo is one of those things. We'll post photos on our social network.

Obvious "permanent" is only a relative term in this case.NY Pony wrote:The old CUSA logo was permanent, correct? SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

And I have always hated the unbridled crap. That commercial that they had for it was absolutely awful.
That's the best we can do to advertise ourselves? How about "We're f-ing great!" We need to take advertising lessons from the Dollar Shave Club guy.

Good. Now if we can operate these new pyro effects without setting the stadium on fire we will all know that SMU athletics has truly turned a corner

Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: On-Field AAC Logo
pretty good sign how responsive the athletic dept is.....
I appreciate that kind of stuff, shows the dept has a good leadership

no fig newton logo??
Re: On-Field AAC Logo
My thought also was how good the new dorms look. What a beautiful campus we have, as well as an academic institution that does Dallas and Texas and us alums proud. Something to thank the Board of Directors for, I guess. Now if we can just get ESPN on our side...
