The whole Manziel thing is awesome. Evidence is secondary to who the school is and if the school will fight.
A&M investigated Manziel...then they had to suspend him due to opening an investigation...then they petitioned to have reinstated when A&M found nothing wrong.

I'm betting not every school has the ability to tell the NCAA how it's gonna go down.
...and yeah...my book shows how the NCAA was just as selective back in the 80's...same old...same old.
awesome book. gave it to a friend (smu grad who did not follow smu football closely then) to read and now he understands what i have been trying to tell him for years. again great, great book. everyone who loves sports should read it.

I agree. 30 minutes is an incredibly harsh penalty. Honestly, half of the first quarter is too much as well. I was thinking he should miss Special Team coverage and at least one series when A&M is leading by four TDs. Who paid for his sideline tickets to the Heat game? We would have the entire enforcement committee just tied up in that one; benched him for the year and then begin a two year investigation of autographs while not playing football.

he agree to the 1/2 game suspension in lieu of the ncaa dragging out the investigaton for 3-4 games. satisfied? it was a deal they agreed to.

Seems that clause alone (if in agreement) is worth more than 1/2 game.

A$M probably has a lot of evidence where the NCAA gave them very undeserved leniency from the
death penalty for violations in 80s. They could use that to blow away whatever credibility the
