Yep, these WRs are an average bunch. They're going to get absolutely punked the next two games.

They're slow as hell and can't get any separation. Big problems

Burcham has to get time this year, hopefully sooner rather than later. For example, if we are getting blown out at A$M. The staff should pull the trigger and not wait until 2 minutes remaining to do it. GG has carried the offense and been strong. Frankly, he has been one of the few bright spots and the only consistent one.

However, he is gone after this season. Burhcham needs to feel the speed of the game in live action to continue to grow. This is better for the program in the long run. Further, CP is unavailable this season and GG might not survive the season with the number of hits he is taking. He got smacked on at least 75% of the passing plays last night. If he goes down against Rutgers for multiple games, we need Burcham to be ready to step in. If he isn't, then this is really going to be a long season.

Just my two cents.

GG has gone over 300 yards each game so far and is throwing just under 70% completion. What more do you want? He needs to put the ball in the endzone more, but give me an effing break.

Gilbert is 5th in the country in total offense. He's doing fine.

i agree that ponyNC is a pee brain. GG is one of the few bright spots. You have to know nothing about football to think otherwise. The issue is our O line and our very poor D line. There have been only a handful of time when i thought - wow - Gilbert has a bunch of time back there. Every play is an immediately collapsing pocket.

Wait until Aggie and froggy get ahold of some game tape - you think it will take them more than 10 seconds to decide to blitz every play of D, and run the hurry up on us on offense? We need to pull GG early those games to keep him healthy for when we get back in Ford with Rutgers.

sbsmith wrote:Not Burcham time yet, Gilbert hasn't done anything to be pulled. Not that June would pull him anyway, this dink and dunk ball is designed to make Gilbert look better than he is so he can get some NFL looks.
So you think June is running the offense to make Gilbert look good for the nfl, not because be thinks it gives us the best chance to win? Really? Seems to me the short passes were what everyone expected we would see more of when we brought in some elements of the air raid with mumme. I kept hearing how the air raid is more crossing routes vs the run and shoot being more vertical.
