Their B team and Z team played each other last week and it ended 0-0

The NCAA went to overtime to decide games. . . Say bye, bye, to ties

AP (University Park)--Breaking News

Because of the softness of its OOC schedule, SMU's Head Coach June Jones and Athletic Director Rick Hart announced today that the game with BYE is cancelled. Because the game with BYE was only pencilled, in SMU announced that that BYE is being replaced with with PYE. PYE, home of the Fightin' Zombies, will come to Dallas riding three decades of one of the most impressive records in NCAA history, decimating its opponents 100% of the time.

SMU and PYE last met in the 1980s, where PYE walked onto the Hilltop and embarrassed the Ponies. PYE, a comprehensive teaching and research institution, is excited to rekindle its lingering history with SMU.

PYE's head coach, Jose Cuervo,is the only head coach at a major US university who is also a tenured professor. Cuervo is a Distinguished Professor at PYE's Department of Foreign Languages, teaching two seminars in Advanced Spanish.

"Como se yama 'blanco fuera'" said Cuervo in his press conference earlier today. "We're prepared to come into Dallas, like Sherman went through Georgia. We won't be satisfied with winning the game on the field, but we plan to decimate the entire university, academic departments and all" predicted Cuervo.

When asked about the change, SMU Head Coach June Jones said "We're mildly excited about this change, but I'm not going to show that emotion. Did I tell you that I once coached in the Sugar Bowl? Anyway, all I have to say to Coach Cuervo is 'mahalo, mo fo. Hey, has anyone seen Reinbold?"

At the press conference announcing the schedule change, Jones demonstrated the strategic advantage of changing the schedule from BYE to PYE on the university's overhead projector, the Accelerator X-1000, recently purchased thanks to the "Stampede" capital campaign. Because of the sudden change of schedule, Jones distributed PYE's roster by mimeograph machine.

SMU's SID said that internal polling predicts attendance for the game between 10,000 and 15,000.
