IMO...Not all, but too many SMU fans feel entitled for some reason. It is almost a cultural thing.

Seems like the coaches are the ones that feel entitled.

This is why more fans don't travel. June has successfully indoctrinated so many into believing that we are "supposed to lose".

Give us a break :!:

How old are you :?: 12

Sadly, much older. The question remains valid. Do you have an answer?

West Coast Johnny wrote:The TCU fans that want to drop SMU from the schedule are not credible because TCU still plays schools like Grambling & South-Eastern Louisianna. I look for this series to continue but only if SMU is flexible as to scheduling. There may be years when TCU has an opertunity to play a big game (ie LSU this year) when TCU will ask SMU to skip a year. This would work well with those SMU fans advocating a softer schedule.

I could see that, but the "skips" would need to be done evenly and not just years the game is scheduled to be in Ford, TCU is "projected" to be down, etc.

God i hate when people say that.

were we expected to get blasted in all three losses too?

Same here... if we get demolished by Rutgers does it really matter... even if we win is it really going to say anything about us, or more that rutgers lost to a team that got butt pounded by teams with mediocre to great football programs.

2 emoticons, gimme a break :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

I do not know an answer to get us into the top 25 pronto other than some kind of miracle, and
I don't think he coaches football.

I think it was a minor miracle that we got JJ after 2 or 3 months of futile searching. I think it
was a minor miracle that we got LB to coach BB. So maybe more minor recruiting miracles
for JJ in the future to hope for. See Margus Hunt :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

SMU Administration gets the blame for the lack of fan support. 20 plus years of not trying killed our fan base. The fans are slowly coming back but it is going to take more than a few lower-to-mid tier bowl games. Where is the freaking indoor practice facility that the school has promised to build for the last 5 to 6 years? Typical from the AD Department- all talk and no action.

Uh, that would probably be better directed towards Turner.

I'm not sure how long it's going take for Stallion to realize that our fans suck and Our team is very difficult to watch

I'm helping put 96 students and teachers in the stands this Sat. Im trying to build interest. Ill try to run a few ideas by on increasing crowds next few days for what it's worth. I don't think SMU administration cares much for what is written here.

I commend your effort JPE. I wish we had a better record for you to work with.

When the game is over in the first half, as it was against TAMU - I simply changed the channel. Or played with my daughter. Or went out for a walk. Same thing in the second half against TCU. I simply watched the UCF - USC game instead (it was way better)

PonyinNC, I had a son in January and so I empathize completely. I have a wonderful, SMU Football-loving wife but once we get three scores down or our offense stinks it up we both start wondering what other things we could be doing with our babysitter time. With a kid, it just doesn't make sense anymore to spend a rare four free hours watching crap fundamental football. We still go, and I'm not saying dear alma mater needs to win every game for my attention...just don't make me regret the time expenditure. I've decided I'm not renewing if June comes back.
