100% disagree, that was not a problem. We got the 2 pointer to make up for it but even if he made it and the one on the next TD, the score would be equal and tied for OT.
This season, Hover has been the most reliable scorer on the team.

That's coaching, pure and simple
thats the ballgame
I don't think that one play can be blamed like I mention in previous posts. What lost the game was the crappy execution overall in the order 3 quarters and the defense running out of steroids or something and just got manhandled.

Three plays. The bad snap, the unbelievable excellent called screen by Rutgers , and the blown coverage that allowed a receiver to be wide open on a 3rd and long in the 3rd quarter.

Other contributors, terrible special teams. On kick returns we killed ourselves once again bring the ball out, not catching short kicks and it caused us to have terrible field position.

The punting game was the early killer. Forget tackling and such, when our punter can't even boom it out there more than 25 yards, one's D is in trouble.

Field position. In the first Quarter our best starting position was our own 21. Rutgers worse field position was our 44. The pressure on the O and D with that kind of field position disadvantage is unreal.

As note, poor tackling. We have a chance to drop the runner for a loss on the winning TD run and failed to bring him down. And that happened the whole game.

The O line was just flat out terrible the first half. They improved the second half but still struggled. GG's ability to keep on his feet and run around to make things happen saved us late. That was all him and not the O line.
