Galloway is representative of the typical fan....just spout off without thinking it through and any real knowledge about sports and then jump on the bandwagon when a team or individual does good. And the old man comes through by giving free advice and provoking people into arguing. Good way to pass the time on talk radio. Kinda like Seinfeld...a show about nothing! And then write an article in the Star-Telegram the next day about it. Nice way to make a living!

I've never liked Galloway. He just grates on me and I find him irritating for many of the same reasons you guys mentioned.

I like the Ticket, although I don't listen often. Honestly, outside Norm, I think the most knowledgable sports guy on there is Bob. They don't have to be 100% sports talk, but they could lean more toward talking sports vs. other stuff for my taste. But as they say, if it works, why change it?

The worst thing about the Ticket? 8 minutes of commercials for every 12 minutes of talk. Seriously, 40% of their air time is commercials. Ultimately, that's the main reason I don't listen to the Ticket. If I skip TV commercials at home with my DVR, why do I want to listen to them in my truck during drive time?

Loved Galloway, though I can see how he'd grate if you weren't a Texan. Hate Ian Fitzsimmons so much that I stopped listening to GAC just because of him and his annoying, interrupting personality. Mosely was always a good foil.

The Ticket's high ratings just go to show you that there are a lot of morons out there.

To those that hate on the ticket, musers in the morning (particularly Gordon) are pretty funny. Not hardcore sports talk but I enjoy it.
Norm is pure sports and about as knowledgable of a guy you can find.
Bob is the 2nd most knowledgable guy around. Dan and Donny are 110% worthless.
Hardline is easily the worst show on the ticket. No sports talk at all and corby is a huge douuche.

Overall, they have a lot more to offer than any other station I know of. Good mix of sports and fun throughout the day although there are clearly weak aspects

Ok, I'll back off the moron statement. You make good points.

I have always liked Galloway. And particularly when I met him at sons of herman hall for a BR549 show. He could not have been more nice to us as we tried to get him to drink Cuervo shots with us (not that I'm a Cuervo fan).

I listen to Mike and Mike radio in the morning on 103.3 ESPN. That is a good sports talk show. Nothing on The Ticket comes close. Wish Norm would move to 103.3 and leave The Ticket to the morons. I am not going to back off on that one.

Mike and mike? Seriously? Can't stand the guys. Golic is such a loser and constantly references his nfl days like he was actually relevant. Greenberg has the most generic opinions. No thanks.

To each his own. To much fluff for me on The Ticket. I guess I can go ahead and agree with you. Out of all of them (besides Norm), Gordon and Bob are the only salvagable hosts.

We must get a different Mike and Mike here. I only have a chance to listen from about 5:30-6:00 but I never hear Golic speak of his NFL days. Sometimes Notre Dame if asked about them but I do not even remember who he played for. What does irritate me is if the Jets do very bad or very good which is usually the case, Greenie has to talk about them the full time I am getting ready for work and I could not care less about the Jets.

I would agree with you of both points (too much fluff and those are the only good hosts). Still, for whatever reason, it is the only thing I listen to

Stop whining!! Dallas sports radio is infinitely better than NYC's.

Try listening to the Mike "The Sports Pope" Fatsesca for a few minutes. You will want to go deaf. Alternatively, you can listen to Michael "Yankee Shill" Kay or Mike Lupica. The worst guy in Dallas radio is better than any of them. How the largest media market in the US has the worst sports guys is totally beyond me.

Good point. NYC sports radio is awful.
Of course Golic refers to his NFL days. That's why he's there -- he can offer a perspective Greenberg can't. I think they're a really good tandem, and enjoy listening to them on the way to work every day.
